“It’s okay to not know, but it is not okay to not try.”
Hehe heyyy:) Welcome back to another post! I hope you all had a fab weekend and are starting this week off with some positivity and drive. Lately, I have been challenging myself to get something done, whatever it be, every single day. I’ve tried to go on the computer and learn something that I did not yet know about. Used to, I would simply say, “I don’t know what you’re talking about.” I used to sit there in the unknown, being okay with not understanding what someone said or what I was reading.
Today’s topic relates to putting yourself back into the beginner stage. When you first are interested in something, oftentimes you venture out to research and take into account any possible information on the subject. Personally, I would do so for only things that were interesting to me, but then I would remain clueless about everything else. This led people to think I was stupid, making me feel the same way. But, if you put yourself in a position of learning something you have no previous knowledge of, being a beginner can be beneficial. It opens up so many opportunities to introduce new material into your brain.
If you wake up each morning and sit down at the computer, so much information can be obtained within the timeframe of 30 minutes. I have been challenging myself to this for the past few days, and I must say I have already learned so much! I have always been relatively book smart, but I have never had any common sense. Looking into learning new and challenging things has changed me for the better. For example, at the end of the day, I know that I have got a lot done and checked off all my priorities and agendas. This leaves me proud, and craving more feeling like it.
Today, I challenge you to be a BEGINNER. Although you may have mastered a skill, prepare your mindset to be open to new things. Be open to failure, be open to not knowing at first, be open to fresh knowledge. Being a beginner is anything but bad, but more of a challenge to be an expert as to what you’re trying to achieve. Every day this week, make a point to learn something new, even if it seems scary and too unfamiliar. Thank you all for reading and I’ll check back in with you this Friday!
