Give it Some GRATITUDE.

“This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” psalm 118:24

Hehe heyyy:) Welcome back to another post lovelies! I want to start today’s chat with taking a look at the list I’ve created above. It’s my personal gratitude list! Every single day, I make for certain I write one of these. They always start off with number one relating to the love of Jesus Christ, but carry on to highlight important components I’m extra grateful for. Ever since I started writing everything I cared for down, I have recognized what the Lord has given me more and more each day. It is incredibly CLEAR how much work he has going on in my life, and I’m utmost grateful for him. Acknowledging this, let’s dive into how these lists can help you, too!

Although a lot of us put on a fake smile at work, at home, or anywhere we may be, there is always an underlying negative on our mind. I speak from my daily struggle for that! We tend to pinpoint negatives and try and fix them in any way we can. We try to mask the issues we have by saying, “I’m fine.” WE ALL have done it! BUT. Have you ever thought about how good you really have it? I don’t know a lot of you personally, but let me give you some bulletpoints that all of you can add to your lists!

They go a little something like this:

  1. You woke up this morning to the same, glorious sunlight the Lord brought into all of our windows.

  2. You have the ability to go and meet new people that you may end up being friends with!

  3. You have the opportunity to be your own person, and mold the body God gave you into something BEAUTIFUL!

  4. Though you cannot see him, God is always holding your hand and present when you need him!

  5. Your sins have all been washed away with the pure, perfect love of Jesus and the sacrifice he made for us to be clean from our sins.

I know that it is particularly easy to laser in on all the problems we’ve got, and how we have a lot going on, BUT taking the more challenging route to think about the positives, is VITAL! God gave us so much to be thankful for, and most importantly, a chance to live on this Earth! Whatever has been weighing you down lately, try and fight back with the gratitude you have for what’s going RIGHT in your life. Try ignoring the outside influences that take your mood down. The quality of your life will drastically improve if you recognize the blessings you’ve got! I promise there’s more than you think.

There were definitely times in my life where my list was not as dense; I found it impossible to come up with more than about three bulletpoints. With patience and an open mind, though, the Lord rewarded me with the life I have now! I am so incredibly blessed to say I’m thriving in many ways. All the grace goes to God! He has truly given me a FABULOUS list to write down day by day, and if you dig deep and trust in his work, he will do the same for you, too!

To wrap things up, there is ALWAYS a bright side of things, even if it’s hidden. We all are offered the same 24 hours, but if we take it for granted and look at the negatives, the quality will be SIGNIFIGANTLY less than if you were to have a positive mindset. Try it for yourself! Today, I challenge you to pinpoint 10 important components you have in your life that you’re thankful for. Keep in mind it does not have to be in any particular order, but try to be descriptive! Later, give me some feedback as to what you’re MOST thankful for. I hope you all have got something out of today’s post, and I’ll catch up with you guys next week:)
