Just Hit REFRESH.

“And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.” 1 peter 5:10

Hehe heyyy! Welcome to another post:) I’m so thankful you’re here! Our chat today is going to involve a routine I MUST carry out day by day, and sometimes every couple hours or so. Have you ever just felt as if your brain was physically SO HEAVY? Have you ever sat down and thought, “Wow. I just need to clean, organize, and really get my life together RIGHT NOW.”? If so, welcome to the club. It happens! When I experience these thoughts, it’s almost like I’ve had 17 cups of coffee and I frantically run around like a crazy person, trying to settle everything down.

Whether it be your surroundings, how much sleep you got, the foods you’ve eaten that day, what you’re wearing, what your brain is feeling like, EVERYTHING could use that refresh button. Everything. The verse above feeds into how the Lord will give us that opportunity and that message to reset things and re-coop ourselves. He gives us the strength to push through our everyday endeavors, but he also will give us a signal to let us know when to calm down and get all our ducks in a row.

Just the other day I felt so irritable, angry, and honestly anxious. For no reason! I had just finished work and felt like I really needed to just let all the crap taking up my brain just empty out. This is what I mean when I say our brains get “Heavy”. I sat there and was just pondering as to why I was so jittery, nervous, and irritated. Then it hit me: The house was a mess. My room was a mess. My emails needed to be read. Dishes need to be cleaned. Laundry needed to be folded and put up.” Who knew that there was SO MUCH I needed to do. SO. I got started. I put my airpods in, and ran down the stairs with one thing on my mind. REFRESH.

Try it yourself! I challenge you to come home from wherever you have been one day this week, and drop WHATEVER you’re doing, and reset. This can look different for some, but for me, putting things where they go can even be a stress relief. After you feel like you’ve completed everything you can think of, comment on THIS post about how you feel after. I can 110 percent guarantee that you will feel so much better after taking a measly 30 minutes to an hour just to complete those little tasks that ring in your head all day long.

Hitting that refresh button can be one of the most rewarding and relaxing things you can do for yourself. You have too many tabs in your brain to just let them all pile up at once! Close up as many as you can, so you can focus on what you NEED to be focusing on, leading to a higher productivity level all around! This is a MUST for me, and I think it’ll become one for you, too! Thanks so much for reading, and I hope you can take something out of today’s post! I’ll catch up with you guys next Friday hehe!
